Introduction to NEET

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national degree medical entrance examination. It is prepared to provide admissions inMBBS, BDS & Ayush Courses.

NTA conducts NEET for admission of candidates to MBBS, Veterinary, AYUSH, BDS, and other medical and paramedical publications in India. The examination is carried out annually. With approximately 16 lakh take a look at-takers, NEET is the most important medical front exam in India for UG admissions. With approximately 16 lakh test-takers, NEET is the most crucial medical entrance examination in India for UG admissions.

NEET Examination Details



Eligibility 


Nationality:

Each candidate must be a citizen of India.

NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), OCIs (Overseas Citizen of India), PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) & Foreign Nationals can also apply if they want to apply. There are no restrictions for them.

Each candidate is required to qualify NEET exam in order to seek admission in UG Medical courses.

Age Criteria:

A lower age limit is fixed for the NEET exam. Each candidate who is applying for the neet exam must have completed the minimum age of 17 years.

There is also an upper age limit fixed in the NEET exam, For the General category, the upper age limit is 25 years and for the reserved category and PWD candidates, it is 30 years. 


Qualification Criteria for NEET Exam:

Qualifying Exam:- Each and every candidate must have passed  the senior secondary examination (Class 11th and 12th exam)

Subjects: - Each candidate who is going to apply for the NEET exam must have passed the above qualification exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as a compulsory subject.

Minimum Marks:- Each candidate of the general category must pass the above discussed qualifying exam with a minimum of 50%, and a candidate of general category physically handicapped must pass the exam with a minimum of 45%, and (SC, ST, OBC) must secure a minimum of 40% in the exam.


Note:- Marks Obtained in math subject will not be considered. 



Pattern for the NEET Exam


Exam Mode:- The NEET examination will be conducted Through offline mode means a paper-based exam.

No. of questions in the NEET exam:- The exam will contain only one question paper and there will 180 questions in the question paper.

Types of questions in the NEET exam:- Question paper will be an objective type question paper where each question will contain 4 options and the candidate should mark the correct option for the above question.

Exam Duration NEET exam:- There will be 3hrs Duration in the examination, each candidate must complete their question paper in the 3hrs of time.

Subjects for NEET exam:- The question paper of this exam will be consist of four sections i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology.

Question Paper Language for NEET Exam:- As I told there will be 11 languages for the NEET exam question paper i.e., English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Oriya, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, and Telugu.

Marking Scheme of NEET Examination:

Total marks:- The Question paper will have a total of 720 maks means each question of 4 marks.

Marking:- Each question will have 4 marks and for each correct answer candidate will be allotted 4 marks.

Negative marking:- There will negative marking in this exam. For Each incorrect answer candidate will lose 1 mark means, 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer


Note:-
  • Candidates must use only black and blue ballpoint pens to mark their answers.
  • If a Candidate marks Multiple answers for a single question then there will be a negative marking.

Application Form Process


Candidates must have the following documents in order to apply online for the NEET exam:

  • Passport Size Photo(size-10KB – 200KB)
  • Post Card Size Photo(size-50KB – 300KB)
  • Candidate’s Signature (size-4KB – 30KB)
  • Left Hand Thumb Impression (size-10KB – 50KB)
  • Class 10th Passing Certificate (size-100KB – 400KB)


Candidates should undergo the following details regarding NEET 2020 Application form:

  • NEET Examination application form can be filled and submitted through online mode.
  • Candidates will have to fill in their educational details as well as personal details in the application form.
  • Each candidate can fill in only 1 application form.
  • Each Candidate must provide a valid and working email ID and mobile number in the application form.
  • All the information regarding the exam and form will be sent to the candidates via email addresses and mobile numbers which they have provided in the application form.
  • Candidates will have to upload the scanned images of photograph, left-hand thumb impression, signature & 10th class passing certificate.
  • All the images must be in JPG/ JPEG format only to upload in the application form.
  • In case of any mistake done by the candidate in filling the application form, the candidates will be provided a date to modify or edit the form.


Application form Fees:

  • Neet Exam Application Fees can be paid through the online payment mode.
  • Candidates can pay the fees online via Net-Banking, Credit card, Debit Card, Paytm, and UPI.
  • Application form fees of the NEET exam are non-refundable.

Candidates should follow the below-given steps to fill the application form online for NEET Exam:

  • Go to https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/welcome.aspx
  • Fill in the application form after analyzing all of the instructions carefully.
  • Then continue to apply your application form online.
  • Enter fundamental details such as your Name, Parent’s Name,  Category, Date of Birth (D.O.B), etc.
  • Now enter a valid Email ID and Mobile number.
  • Enter the generated OTP to acquire login credentials on Email ID & cellular wide variety.
  • Now login to finish the application form information.
  • Fill at least 3 examination centers according to your desire.
  • Now offer instructional information.
  • After that, add scanned image of photo, signature, thumb impression & tenth class passing certificates in the prescribed format.
  • Re-take a look at & affirm the details.
  • Choose the mode for the price Payment.
  • Submit the utility fee.
  • A Confirmation web page could be generated.
  • Take a printout of the affirmation web page and application form for further use.
